Hotel bathrobes are a kind of robe worn on the body after bathing and are an indispensable part of hotel linen.
A comfortable bathrobe can enhance the overall staying experience of hotel guests. Let’s take everyone to understand the basic knowledge and production process of hotel bathrobes.
1. Fabric of hotel robes
Hotel bathrobe fabrics mainly include terry bathrobes, velour bathrobes, waffle bathrobes, microfiber double-layer bathrobes and so on. Different fabrics have their own characteristics and are suitable for different hotels and different seasons.
TOWEL is soft, warm and comfortable with high water absorbent. It is something pure and natural. White terry robe is most widely used in hotels. As white ones are too common. Some boutique hotels choose to dye the terry fabric into blue, pink or any personalized color per their request.
VELOUR is also a kind of towel after cutting the loops. The surface of the velour is covered with smooth piles. Hotel velour bathrobes generally have cut pile on one side only to keep the high absorbent of terry inside. Velour bathrobe is ultra soft, comfortable to use, and has stronger moisture absorption and softness than ordinary terry robe.
As you can see, a standard high quality velour robe is already very beautiful. Some top luxury hotels like Sofitel , ST. Regis, Four Seasons still need more unique bathrobes to be outstanding. Finally they created some super beautiful jacquard velour robes with some leading manufacturers in China together. Winfly International are proud to produce robes for these 5 star hotels.
WAFFLE, also known as a waffle pattern, is a square or diamond-shaped bump pattern with a strong three-dimensional effect. Therefore, the waffle bathrobe has the characteristics of moisture absorption, elasticity and breathability due to its uneven texture. Because the waffle fabric is thinner, it is suitable for summer wear.
The double-layer bathrobe is generally made of waffle or microfiber on the surface, and the inner layer is mostly microfiber terry cloth or ultra-soft short plush. The surface layer is crisp and shape-keeping, and the inner layer keeps warm and absorbs moisture. It is suitable for autumn and winter wear, highlighting the hotel’s taste and high-end. The double-layer bathrobe is more expensive and complicated in process, so the price will be higher than ordinary bathrobes.
2. The styles of hotel bathrobe
Shawl collar and kimono. Shawl collar bathrobe is always more expensive than kimono robe.
3. Size and weight for hotel robe
Bathrobe sizes includes three main aspects: length, bust, and sleeve length. In order to suit different groups of people and bring hotel guests a cozy and comfortable feeling, generally the size of hotel bathrobes will be looser. The conventional size of hotel bathrobes are: Length: 115-124 cm, Shoulder Width: 53-55 cm, Sleeve Length: 53-55 cm, Single Side Bust: 55-66 cm. If you are not familiar with these, just go unisex size as 120*68*46 cm which fits all.
The weight of common terry cloth and velour bathrobes is usually 1000 g and 1100 g, and higher stars hotels will also choose 1200 g and 1300 g. Since the shawl collar consumes more material than the kimono collar, shawl collar will be 100 g heavier than the kimono if the sizes are the same. That is why shawl collar style is more expensive.
4. Colors of hotel bathrobe
Most of hotel robes are white. And some boutique hotels choose light colored bathrobes which makes the room look better. Seldom hotels choose dark colors. If you do want to have a try, you can do a gold logo on the black robe. It would be super luxury.
Min. order for colorful robes is 300 pieces. There will be extra dying fee if the quantity is small. Here we choose reactive printing and dyeing which is healthy with high color fastness.
5. Accessories of hotel bathrobes
In order to enhance the overall design of the bathrobe, hotel bathrobes will also be equipped with piping and embroidery. The mostly used piping colors are golden, yellow, dark blue, pink and white. Different colors highlight different tastes and concepts.
6. Logos of hotel bathrobe
A logo is most important for a hotel robe. It helps hotel to form their brand. People will remember the hotel if it has a high quality embroidered logo with beautiful design. Normally a standard embroidery on robe just costs around 0.5$. So it is worthy to spend just less than 1$ and make a nice logo.
Mots hotels choose to embroider the logo on left chest which looks very beautiful and convenient for manufacturers to produce. There are also some hotels make the logo on sleeve or the back to make it look different from others. Embroidery threads are polyester to avoid color fading.
